Budgeting for a wedding involves careful planning and consideration of various factors to ensure that you stay within your financial means. Determine how much you can realistically afford to spend on your wedding. Identify the aspects of your wedding that are most important to you and allocate a larger portion of your budget to those areas.
Here's a sample breakdown of how you might allocate your budget:
1. List of Guest
Reducing the guest list will significantly reduce the total cost of a wedding. Planning a wedding for 200 pax will be more than 50% lesser than hosting the event for 500 pax. Keep the guest list smaller to reduce catering and venue costs. Focus on inviting close friends and family.

2. Look for affordable venues that fit your style.
Check for restaurant or airbnb where you can host events around the garden , by the beach our indoors. Some venues do have cool packages where they offer accommodation and scenic event space. You don't need an extravagant deco when you have beautiful nature as the backdrop.

Embrace a minimalist theme, as it can be both cost-effective and visually appealing. Focus on a few key decorative elements that make a big impact.Borrow decor items from friends or family who recently got married. Consider renting certain items like linens, tableware, and even wedding attire. Cake cutting maybe a tradition but majority of the time, the cake is left abandoned right after the cake cutting ceremony. If you don't fancy them, you can opt to skip it.

4. Off-Peak Dates and Times
Choose an off-peak season or a weekday for your wedding, as venues and vendors may offer lower rates during these times. Usually, weekends or public holidays may have at 30% higher rental rates compared to a normal weekday.
5. Photography and Videography
Photography is the aspects of your wedding that are most important to you and allocate a larger portion of your budget. Photos and videos will be the only passport for you to revisit your event in future. Look for a good vendor who can cater your needs. If you're in a very tight budget, go for a good wedding photographer instead of hiring an average team for both video and photography. Photos can be printed out in an album/ frame and can be passed down generations.

Remember to track your expenses carefully, stay flexible, and make adjustments as needed throughout the planning process. Focus on what matters most to you and your partner. Prioritize what's most important to you, and focus your efforts and budget on those aspects. Remember, it's your day. Spend well with good people, you won't regret.
