As a photographer, I’ve seen it all: distant relatives critiquing the couple’s looks, guests gossiping about the food, and that one uncle who loudly compares the wedding to his neighbour’s daughter’s “bigger, better” affair. Meanwhile, the bride’s best friend or the groom’s favourite cousin is stuck playing host, missing out on the magic.

Small, intimate weddings? Now, that’s where the real magic happens. With only your closest family and friends, every moment feels genuine. These are the people who’ve been with you through thick and thin, who truly care about your happiness. And guess what? They’re the ones we should be capturing in photos with you—laughing, crying, and celebrating your love.

In big weddings, I spend hours snapping pictures of people you’ll probably never see again. Your sweet aunt who helped plan the wedding? She’s too busy managing the chaos to even get a proper photo with you. But that random neighbour who made a snide comment about the décor? Oh, they’ll be front and centre in your album.
