Through My Lens: You’re Gorgeous Just the Way You Are

Let’s get one thing straight.. your wedding day is about celebrating love, not fitting into some outdated, shallow mould of what society deems “perfect.”

As a photographer, I’ve seen it all..bald grooms, chubby brides, tall brides, short grooms, and everything in between. And you know what? Every single one of them was stunning. But sadly, not everyone sees it that way.
Why is it that a groom being bald is treated like a punchline? Or that a bride being chubby is seen as something to “fix”?
Since when did love become conditional on waist size or hair count? And don’t even get me started on the ridiculous notion that grooms must be taller than brides.
Who made that rule? Was there a meeting I missed?
Love doesn’t come with a height requirement, folks.
Recently, I stumbled upon a trending video where a photographer made “funny” video about a bride’s height... calling her 'Kuttechi..' and another reel calling the groom 'sotte...mande batheram..' Mocking the groom for being bald
Sure, it got laughs and likes, but at what cost? Was the bride thrilled to have her height become the punchline of her own wedding video? I doubt it.

Why reduce someone’s big day to a cheap joke about something as trivial as height?
What about her kindness, her intelligence, her smile? Aren’t those worth celebrating?
And then there are the comments. “Wow, it’s surprising they found someone to marry them at that size.” Seriously?
Are we still living in a world where only slim, fair, “classically good-looking” people deserve love? It’s the 2nd half of 2026, and yet, the biases are alive and kicking...not just among the older generation but us too.
I’ve noticed that when I post photos of fair skinned, slim couples, my Instagram blows up. But when the couple doesn’t fit that narrow definition of beauty? It’s disappointing, to say the least.
Here’s the truth: my job isn’t to “fix” you or make you fit society’s standards. You’re already gorgeous. My team and I are here to capture you..your love, your joy, your authenticity.
Ninge yeppadi irunthalum, engaluku azhagu thaan!
We’ll make sure you feel comfortable and confident because, honestly, that’s when the magic happens. Our clients always tell us that our best quality isn’t just the photos or videos...it’s how we make them feel. And that’s something no filter or edit can replicate.

So, to every bride and groom out there..don’t let anyone dim your light. Whether you’re bald, plus sized, tall, short, dark-skinned, or anything in between, you deserve to be celebrated. Love isn’t about fitting into a box...it’s about breaking free from it. So don't let anyone put you in their oily tupperware mindset!
And to my followers... come on lah.. Be better than this. Let’s celebrate love in all its forms, not just the ones that fit a narrow, outdated ideal.
